The Solar Lights Library:

Haiti is in the dark, literally. More than 60% of Haitian households do not have electricity at home, and for those who are connected to the grid, the supply is irregular and unpredictable.

What good is a book if you cannot read it because it is dark? How can you blame a child for not doing her homework when there is no light at home?

A pico-solar portable reading light is a simple and affordable solution.

Students in public schools and libraries can loan the portable solar lanterns to take home and use for studying and reading after dark. The solar battery powered lamp gets charged during the day and brings light in the evening. Being portable, it can used in any place that is convenient for the student and offers sufficient amount of light for comfortable studying, reading and other tasks.

Donate or become a fundraiser for the Light Library today.Together, we can impact young Haitian students and improve their educational achievement. Dark no more! Help us get 10,000 lamps till the end of the year!

Thank you for your generous support.
